These pictures were taken in Riga during the first week of September, 2007. This gravesite forms the centerpiece of the cemetery named after Rainis, Raina kapi. There is also a memorial to Rainis down town.

During the Soviet period, the prominent grave plots around the ring surrounding Rainis' grave were given to high-ranking Soviet military personnel. | |
