Ensemble of War Memorials in Riverside Park in Wichita

Pictures by Mark Keck, text by Mark R. Hatlie

These pictures were taken on 1 January, 2005 in Wichita, Kansas. The photos are very incomplete. They were not originally taken to thoroughly document the site. I would very much appreciate someone sending in a complete photo documentation of this interesting site.

The forground shows part of a Merchant Marine memorial for World War Two. The statue behind it is the memorial for the Korean War. To the left, among the flag poles, is the Vietnam War memorial. On the left edge part of a memorial is visible. It would appear to be for military medics, perhaps Marine Corps medics.
This is the nearby World War Two memorial.
