The plaque on the pedestal reads, "Walter Reinhold / Rubble Women / 1952 errected in cast iron / 1967 re-made in bronze / The memorial is dedicated to the women of Dresden who, in a difficult period, laid the groundwork for the reconstruction of the destroyed city with the work of their hands. / Restored 2001", followed by a list of the sponsors of the restoration.
